Day by day
Meet and welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport.
Travel to the Habarana area and check in to the hotel or guesthouse as per your choice.
Travel time is around 4-5 hours.
Early in the morning, around 6 am, leave the hotel with a picnic breakfast for the Minneriya Elephant Safari by 4x4 jeep.
After the safari, continue to Anuradhapura, the 1st Royal Kingdom in Sri Lanka, dating back to the 2nd century.
See huge man-made monuments constructed by ancient Sri Lankans. The site visit takes around 2 hours.
In the evening, drive back to your hotel or guesthouse in Habarana as per your booking.
After breakfast, visit Sigiriya Fortress, which belongs to the 5th century and was ruled by King Kashyapa. It takes about an hour to climb up and back.
Next, travel to Polonnaruwa, the 2nd Royal Kingdom in Sri Lanka, dating back to the 12th century.
After breakfast, leave the hotel for Kandy, the last Royal Kingdom in Sri Lanka. En route, visit the Herbal Garden, which is popular for ancient Ayurveda medication treatments. Enjoy a free massage and learn new things about herbs.
In the afternoon, visit the Kandy Cultural Show and experience different types of Sri Lankan traditional dances.
After the dance show, visit the world-famous Kandy Tooth Relic Temple and later return to your hotel in Kandy.
Transfer to Nuwara Eliya, where you will go to the Central Highlands at a height of 1900 metres above sea level.
En route, visit the famous Ceylon tea factory and enjoy a cup of fresh tea after seeing the factory.
Stay overnight at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya. In Nuwara Eliya, the average temperature at night is around 10 degrees Celsius.
After breakfast, transfer to the white water rafting area of Kithulgala.
Enjoy a white water rafting ride. It is a great and fun experience.
Overnight in Kithulgala.
Check out from the hotel and leave for the airport, which is around 3 hours away.
