Description

Cycle around the Vitosha mountain, situated near the capital city of Bulgaria. Pump up the adrenaline as you charge over 100 km across mountain trails, dusty roads and sometimes asphalt roads between traffic.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cycling Around Vitosha Mountain
- Cycle 7- 8 km on a car road to climb above the city until the urban area is left behind.
- Travel through the pine forest until one reaches the first village on the way.
- Continue cycling up the mountain, beside a gorgeous river that is believed to contain gold deposits.
- Cycle through a panoramic mountain trail till one reaches a beautiful lake and a town nearby.
- Proceed on a picturesque road through small hills, woods and quiet villages until one decides to stop for the night and rest.
- Choose one of the two options for accommodation -camp out in the woods or rent a room in one of the villages.
Day 2: Return Journey to the City
- Follow the above journey but in reverse.

There are 3 options for this trip:

Half-day - 15 km cycling through mountain paths and 20 km on asphalt roads. It costs 30 Euro for 1 person and 25 Euro per person for a group.

One-Day - 20+ km in the mountain and 30 km on asphalt. It costs 40 Euro for 1 person and 30 Euro per person for a group.

Advanced 2-day - This one is for bikers. A full circle around Vitosha mountain with around 50 km on mountain paths and 50 km road cycling. You'll have the chance to see hidden parts of the mountain that even most Sofia citizens aren't aware of. It costs 80 Euro for 1 person and 60 Euro per person for more.
