- Pick up from your hotel or guesthouse in Siem Reap to the boat pier of the Tonle Sap. Kompong Phluk is accessible by boat only. It is a permanent village opposed to floating. Here is a much better option for you to visit a village on the lake and get a good insight into the village lifestyle of the Tonle Sap.
- Explore the village activities and you can have a chat with children in a private English class.

Note: From August to January the water level is still high enough to flood the forest surrounding the Tonle Sap Lake. For the remainder of the year, you will not see a flooded forest but the houses of the village will appear as like standing on gigantic stilts which makes a visit to this village worthwhile all year round.
