Evening Departure (9:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Pickup from your hotel in Eilat. Drive to the Taba Border Crossing (about 15 minutes from central Eilat). Complete border formalities on both the Israeli and Egyptian sides, then board the air-conditioned coach for the overnight drive through the Sinai Peninsula toward Cairo. The border process typically takes 1 to 2 hours. The drive from Taba to Cairo is approximately 6 to 7 hours.
Morning Arrival in Cairo (approximately 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM)
Arrive in Cairo as the city wakes up. Your Egyptologist guide meets you and the tour begins immediately. The Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx Visit the Giza Plateau to see the three Great Pyramids (Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure) and the Great Sphinx. Walk around the complex, take photos from the panoramic viewpoints, and hear your guide explain 4,500 years of history. Optional camel rides available at extra cost. The Egyptian Museum Explore the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, home to over 120,000 artifacts spanning thousands of years. See Tutankhamun's golden death mask, royal mummies, ancient jewelry, and papyrus scrolls with expert commentary from your Egyptologist guide. The Papyrus Institute Watch a live demonstration of traditional papyrus-making techniques. Papyrus artwork is available for purchase. Lunch Sit down for an included buffet lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant. Traditional dishes including koshari, grilled meats, mezze, and salads. Drinks are not included but available for purchase. Khan El Khalili Bazaar Browse Cairo's legendary 14th-century open-air bazaar. Shop for spices, jewelry, leather goods, essential oils, and lanterns. Bargaining is expected and your guide is available to help navigate.
Return Journey (approximately 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
Board the coach for the return drive to Taba. The drive takes approximately 6 to 7 hours. Arrive at the Taba Border Crossing late evening. Cross back into Israel. Taxis from Taba to Eilat hotels cost approximately $10 (not included).
