8-Day Cairo and Nile Cruise Tour with Giza Pyramids and Luxor

• Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, meet your tour guide, who will assist you with passport control, the luggage area, and customs formalities.

• Then transfer to your 5-star hotel in Cairo by private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in.

Overnight in Cairo.

• After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus.

• Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, with a lion's body, which dates back to the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren.

• Then visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques, which exhibits a collection of more than 120,000 masterpieces ranging from the pre-dynastic era and the Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt, including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen and the Pharaonic gods and goddesses.

  • Optional: Visit the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum, where you may learn about the great Egyptian civilization and the art of mummification in ancient Egypt.

• In the evening, transfer to the railway station to take the first-class sleeper train to Aswan.

Overnight on the train.

• Have breakfast onboard the train and then meet our representative, who will assist you and transfer you to embark on your Nile cruise for the next 4 days.

• Later, go on an exciting tour of the world-famous High Dam, which was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s.

• Then take a motorboat to the island of Egilka to visit the majestic Philae Temple, which was dedicated to the goddess Isis.

Overnight stay onboard the cruise.

• Sail early to Kom Ombo.

• After breakfast, be escorted by your Egyptologist guide to visit Kom Ombo Temple, associated with the crocodile-headed god of fertility and creator of the world.

• Have lunch aboard your cruise and enjoy free time at leisure while sailing to Edfu to explore Edfu's Temple of Horus.

• Continue the cruise down to Luxor.

• Afternoon tea is served on the sun deck, followed by dinner and an overnight stay onboard the cruise.

• Have breakfast onboard the cruise, then go to the West Bank of the River Nile to visit the two colossal statues of Memnon.

• Then visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs were discovered.

• Continue the tour to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary, an impressive temple dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut.

• Then return to the cruise for lunch. After afternoon tea on the ship, enjoy free time at leisure and an overnight stay onboard.

• After breakfast, you will be accompanied by your guide to visit Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name, Ipet-isut, means "the most sacred of places."

• Within the complex, the great "Hypostyle Hall" is an incredible forest of giant pillars.

• Transfer to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals and dedicated to the god Amen.

• Then you will be transferred to the Luxor train terminal to take a sleeper train back to Cairo.

Dinner and overnight stay on board.

• Upon arrival at Giza station, drive to your hotel.

• Check in, and in the afternoon, look beyond the pyramids and pharaohs.

• Discover the Citadel of Salah el-Din, where the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque stands.

• Then visit the Christian heritage of Coptic Cairo, including the Hanging Church, also known as the Suspended Church. This basilica was named for its location above the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon, and it became the center of the Christian Church of Egypt, before continuing to Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

• Enjoy free time to stroll through the maze of streets and try your luck bargaining with the shop owners for a souvenir of your trip to Egypt.
