3

Flight or Drive to Pokhara and Lakeside Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, we will drive to the domestic airport to take a 25-minute flight to Pokhara. During the short flight, you will have majestic views of the glorious Manaslu peaks, the snow-capped Annapurna mountain range, and the Langtang Himalayan range. If you wish, you can instead take a tourist bus to Pokhara for about a 6-7 hour drive while exploring and enjoying the scenic beauty along the way.

  • The tour includes a visit to Devi's Fall, the gorge of the Seti River, the Tibetan Refugee Camp, Mahendra Cave, and many more places.

  • Visit Barahi Temple in the middle of Phewa Lake.

4
Day 04

Trek from Pokhara to Ghandruk

  • A car drive of about one and a half hours through the large village of Lumle brings you to Nayapul.

  • The trek starts by descending a staircase and then traverses high above the river on a wide stone-paved trail to the large and prosperous town of Birethanti. The trail follows the main street, winding through bamboo forests and past waterfalls with plunge pools inviting a refreshing swim.

  • Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches the small village of Sudami, where you can have lunch.

  • We walk along terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges. After passing flatlands, forest, cultivated lands, and a suspension bridge over Khumbu Khola, we arrive at the beautiful village of Ghandruk after 3-4 hours of walking.

  • An ideal vantage point in this pristine village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Hiuchhuli.

  • There will be time to explore, rest, and enjoy dinner before settling into your accommodation for the night.

5
Day 05

Ghandruk Trek to Jhinu Hot Spring

  • Hiking along a flat trail for an hour, passing terraces, streams, and green scenery, we will walk down to a bridge over Kyuri Khola.

  • The trail then starts ascending to Kumrong Danda. It passes through rhododendron forests and fine terraces to Chhomrong village. Above the village is the mighty peak of Annapurna South, with Mt. Fishtail facing it across the valley. Chhomrong is a beautiful village with lots of lodges providing good facilities.

  • From here, you can also trek down for about 1 hour to Jhinu. The natural hot spring at Jhinu is an inviting place to spend time splashing in the small pool beside the spring.

6
Day 06

Trek from Jhinu Hot Spring to Pothana

  • After breakfast the next morning, the trail continues to Landruk, a beautiful Gurung village that provides an excellent view of the surrounding mountain ranges.

  • The trail emerges into the main Modi Khola valley and reaches Tolkha, then continues towards Pothana. The view of Machhapuchhare is excellent from here, except that from this angle it looks more like the Matterhorn than a fishtail.

7
Day 07

Trek from Pothana to Phedi and Drive to Pokhara

  • Today we will walk along a paved stone trail through rhododendron forests, arriving at Dhampus (1750 m). This village is inhabited by people from different Nepalese cultures, including Gurung, Brahman, and Magar communities.

  • After resting here, we will walk mostly downhill through fields to the forest and on to Phedi.

  • A 30-minute drive from Phedi brings you to Pokhara, where we spend a beautiful night in the city.

8
Day 08

Free Day to Explore Pokhara

  • Pokhara is known as the Land of Dream of Nepal. You will be free to explore Pokhara and the surrounding area at your leisure.

  • Taking a taxi to the village of Sarangkot before sunrise will afford you spectacular views of sunrise, draping the great Annapurna Range in a golden, deep purple, and rose cloak before the brilliant clear blue sky emerges.

  • After lunch, visit famous David's Fall, the Tibetan refugees' camp, Mahendra Cave, and the ancient museum. The Peace Pagoda, funded by Japan, is another spectacular viewing point over the valley, with Pokhara and Phewa Lake nestling far below.

  • Have a stroll along the lakeside, enjoying the evening.

9
Day 09

Rafting on the Trisuli River and Transfer to Chitwan

  • After breakfast, drive to the rafting site on the Trisuli River for white water rafting. It takes approximately two and a half hours to drive from Pokhara to our point of departure for the rafting adventure at Charaundi Village, on the bank of the Trisuli River. This river is popular because access to the Prithivi Highway makes breaking off the journey easy. The Trisuli River is also an ideal beginner's river. The trip leader will inform you about river safety, paddling techniques, and what to do if you find yourself in a situation where you fall overboard.

  • We begin rafting in a languid, pleasurable manner to get the feel of the motion on a raft. The scenic passage along the riverbanks and the life taking place along the way are interesting and intriguing, adding a bonus to the rafting experience itself.

  • After lunch, drive to Chitwan National Park. We will have a short meeting to highlight the program and the facilities offered.

  • In the evening, you will be offered an exciting elephant ride jungle safari to explore the jungle and its wildlife and vegetation. This provides a chance to glimpse the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard, and the Royal Bengal tiger.

10
Day 10

Nature Walk, Canoe Ride, and Cultural Show in Chitwan

  • After morning tea or coffee, you'll have a barefoot nature walk to cherish the environment.

  • Get introduced to features such as vegetation, Sal forest, open grassland, and thick jungle. Our guides will help you learn about species of birds, plants, and other wildlife. Learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stable. For the brave ones, there is even a crash course in riding and leading the elephants.

  • After lunch, a traditional dug-out canoe will be waiting to take you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to enjoy and observe aquatic birds and the animals along the riverbanks.

  • In the evening, farmers from the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances.

11
Day 11

Bird Watching and Return to Kathmandu

  • Early in the morning, you can go bird watching or enjoy another pleasant elephant ride.

  • On safari in the jungle, you will be accompanied by expert naturalists who will advise on safety procedures. We request that you respect their judgment at all times.

  • If you wish to stroll in the forest alone, a guide will have to accompany you for your safety.

  • After lunch, we will take you to Bharatpur Airport for a flight to Kathmandu.

12
Day 12

Scenic Mountain Flight and Leisure in Kathmandu

  • The following morning after breakfast, we will drive you to Kathmandu Domestic Airport to take a 1-hour scenic mountain flight. The outstanding views of Mt Everest towering high above the other high Himalayas will be a highlight of your last day with us.

  • After returning, you can enjoy a relaxing walk through the streets and observe the everyday life of the Nepalese people. You can also buy some memories and gifts to take back home. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure, with some entertainment and quiet time at the hotel.
