Day 2 | Moremi Game Reserve, Xakanaxa/3rd Bridge Area
Distance: Game drives
You will wake up early on your mobile safari, as it is during the early morning hours that the animals are most active. Accompanied by your skilled safari guide and traveling in an open-view safari vehicle, you explore the Moremi Game Reserve. The reserve is rich in wildlife and provides a vital sanctuary to many threatened species. On your game drive, you may very well encounter elephant, hippo, buffalo, crocodile, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and a host of uncommon antelope species such as roan, sable, tsessebe, red lechwe, and perhaps even the rare sitatunga. Where there is this much wildlife, predators are usually not far away, and Moremi is known to regularly provide quality sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and even African wild dogs. With the reintroduction of the rhino, the reserve now even boasts every member of the Big Five. After hopefully plenty of wildlife sightings on your morning game drive, you return to camp for some downtime and perhaps a little nap before lunch. In the afternoon, you head out for another game drive and more safari action. Another delicious dinner awaits you in the evening, followed by a good night's rest in your comfortable bed.

Day 3 - 5 | Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai Area
After an early breakfast, you travel to your next safari destination, the Khwai Area within the Moremi Game Reserve. With possible wildlife sightings along the way, it is worth always being on the lookout. Your guide has well-trained eyes and may even teach you some tricks to help you spot animals. You spend the following three nights in this fantastic area of floodplains, wetlands, and grasslands inside the Moremi Game Reserve, named after the Khwai River.
During your stay here, you can explore the region in a very unique way, namely in a traditional dugout canoe called a "mokoro," with a local poler expertly gliding you through the maze of waterways. This silent form of transport is not only idyllic, but also perfect for anyone wishing to drift right up close to some of the many amazing bird species that call this region home. On numerous game drives over the course of your stay, you can learn more about the fascinating ecosystem found in the Khwai region, and in the evenings, you can enjoy enchanting night skies and relax in your beautiful surroundings.
