The itinerary

Day 01

Wings of Tatev and Tatev Monastery

The Tatev Monastery is a 9th-century Armenian Apostolic Christian monastery located on a large basalt plateau near the village of Tatev in the Syunik Province of southeastern Armenia, about 250 km from Yerevan.

Wings of Tatev

Wings of Tatev is a 5.7 km (3.5 mi) cableway between Halidzor and Tatev Monastery. It is the longest reversible aerial tramway built in only one section and holds the record for the longest non-stop double-track cable car. Construction was completed on 16 October 2010. The total ride time from Halidzor station to Tatev Monastery is about 12 minutes, much shorter than the 40-minute ride along the steep serpentine road that follows the Vorotan Gorge. The aerial tramway cabin reaches a maximum height of 320 meters. Each cabin accommodates 30 passengers and one steward.

Day 02

Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge

The Swinging Bridge is located in the village of Khndzoresk in the Syunik region. The bridge, which connects the two "banks" of Khndzoresk - the Old and the New - was put into operation in June 2012.

The bridge is 160 meters long, 63 meters high, and weighs 14 tons. Approximately 700 people of average weight can cross the bridge at the same time. From the bridge, there is a breathtaking view of the gorge. You can see the four churches of Khndzoresk from the bridge, and the famous "Nine Children" source is also clearly visible.

Day 03

Shaki Waterfall

Shaki Waterfall

Shaki Waterfall is situated 6 km from the town of Sisian. On the left side of the Vorotan River gorge, almost 210 km south of the capital, Yerevan, basalt lava flows have solidified to form an 18-meter-high ledge from which the waterfall cascades down.

It is registered on the list of state natural monuments of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia.

Day 04

Areni Winery Tour and Tasting

Founded in 1994, the Areni Wine Factory is one of Armenia's most famous and historic wineries, located in Areni village, Vayots Dzor. The factory produces a variety of red, white, and pomegranate wines.

A visit to the factory includes a tour of the wine cellar, where visitors can see oak barrels used for wine aging, followed by a tasting session featuring traditional and fruit wines. The cafe on the upper floor offers tea and coffee. A gift shop next to the factory sells handmade souvenirs, crafts, and a wide selection of wines.
