Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and City Tour

   • On your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by our driver and transfer you to your place of accommodation.
   • Have a city tour and relax.
   • Enjoy a visit to the Snake Park.
   • Relax on the sandy beaches of Entebbe as you check back into your hotel for a relaxed evening and get ready for the next day.

2. Day 2: Kampala City Tour

   • Visit Uganda Museum, Uganda’s oldest museum to experience culture and natural history.
   • Explore Kampala city stops and market walks.
   • Visit Buganda Kingdom and cultural gift shops.
   • Taste the local buffet and visit winery centres.
   • Experience Ugandan life and take pictures from the seven hills that make up Kampala.

3. Day 3: Transfer from Kampala to Jinja City

   • Meet our driver and drive to Jinja, approximately 2–3 hours from Kampala via Mabira Forest.
   • Make a roadside stop at Namawojjolo to enjoy the famous roasted chicken.
   • Continue past large tea and sugarcane plantations with beautiful scenic views.
   • Upon reaching the River Nile, proceed to your accommodation.
   • Relax by the riverside and enjoy a beautiful sunset with a barbecue.

4. Day 4: Jinja City Sightseeing and Nile Exploration

   • Visit the Source of the Nile for a gentle boat ride and an easy Nile adventure.
   • Enjoy a picnic and a leisurely walk.
   • Kids will enjoy river boat rides and scenic picnic time.
   • Enjoy tubing and a family float on the Nile in calm sections.
   • Those seeking adventure can try white Nile rafting.
   • Optional visit to the Uganda Railway Museum or the Cultural Research Centre Museum in Jinja for short cultural stops.

5. Day 5: Transfer from Jinja to Kapchorwa

   • Drive through Mbale with views of Mount Elgon.
   • Continue to Sipi Falls via Kapchorwa.
   • Enjoy scenic high altitude landscapes and coffee tours along the slopes of Mount Elgon.
   • On arrival, check in at Heritage Sipi Lodge.
   • Have dinner and relax after the long drive.

6. Day 6: Moroto Town and the Karamojong Community

   • In the morning after breakfast, enjoy optional local sightseeing.
   • Take a guided Sipi Falls tour to explore the three waterfalls.
   • Enjoy panoramic views and a local coffee tour with tasting.
   • After lunch and relaxation in Kapchorwa, proceed to Moroto Town.
   • Visit the Karamoja Cultural Museum to learn about the history, tools, music, and lifestyle of the Karamojong people.
   • Explore traditional Manyattas through guided community visits.
   • Learn about cattle culture, traditional dress, local dances, and storytelling.
   • Discover Matheniko Wildlife Reserve with zebras, antelopes, ostriches, and hyenas.
   • Enjoy the rocky landscapes and peaceful game drive experience.
   • Visit lively local markets for beads, crafts, and fresh local foods.
   • In the evening, enjoy local dishes such as Ngakine and roasted goat.

7. Day 7: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

   • Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park.
   • Check in at the lodge and relax after the drive.
   • Enjoy a swim in the pool while viewing the savannah.
   • Visit a Karamojong community village for a cultural experience in the evening.

8. Day 8: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park

   • Enjoy a morning game drive across the savannah.
   • Continue with an evening game drive to see a variety of wild animals.
   • Return to the lodge in the evening to watch the sunset.
   • Relax by the bonfire, share stories, and have dinner.
   • End the day with a peaceful overnight stay.

9. Day 9: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

   • After breakfast, set off for Murchison Falls National Park.
   • Travel through Gulu City and have lunch.
   • Continue to Masindi and reach the park in the evening.
   • Catch the sunset and enjoy the scenery of Gulu.

10. Day 10: Murchison Falls National Park Exploration

    • Set off early in the morning at 6:00 am for a game drive lasting about 4–5 hours in search of wildlife.
    • Return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, and swimming.
    • In the evening, enjoy a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.
    • Watch the sunset and return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing bonfire.

11. Day 11: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Fort Portal

    • Depart from Murchison Falls in the morning and drive toward Fort Portal.
    • Stop at the top of the falls along the way.
    • Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos.
    • Continue to Fort Portal for lunch and hotel check in.
    • Visit Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru caves.
    • Enjoy sightseeing around the crater lakes region and explore the Tooro Kingdom palace area.

12. Day 12: Queen Elizabeth National Park

    • Enjoy an evening game drive with chances to see wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalo, and hippos.
    • Take a Kazinga Channel boat cruise with views of hippos, elephants, and birdlife.

13. Travel to Lake Bunyonyi (Kabale District)

    • Enjoy views of Lake Bunyonyi surrounded by green hills and scenic islands.
    • Relax by the lakeside and enjoy the fresh air.
    • Take part in bird watching and spot local and migratory birds.
    • Enjoy a peaceful boat cruise to explore islands and learn their history while watching the sunset

14. Day 14: Return to Kampala

    • Enjoy a scenic drive through tea estates, rolling hills, and mountain landscapes with stops for photos and refreshments.
    • Stop at the Equator line near Masaka to take pictures and shop for souvenirs.
    • Continue the journey back to Kampala for an overnight stay.

15. Day 15: Departure

    • Visit the Ndere Cultural Centre in Kampala before departure.
    • Enjoy a two hour performance of East African traditional music and dance.
    • This activity may be done at the beginning or end of the trip depending on schedule.
    • Transfer to Entebbe International Airport marking the end of your safari.
