Day 01
Cape Town to Aquila Big Five Safari Experience
- Early morning pickup from your hotel in Cape Town takes place between 06:15 and 07:00 for departure towards Aquila Private Game Reserve.
- A scenic 2-hour drive through the Karoo landscape offers wide-open views and a transition into wildlife territory.
- Arrival at Aquila takes place around 09:00, with welcome drinks served on arrival.
- Buffet breakfast is enjoyed between 09:00 and 10:00 at the lodge, with mountain views in the background.
- Guests relax briefly and take in the natural surroundings before the safari experience begins.
- A 2 to 3 hour guided Big Five game drive takes place from 10:15 to 12:30 in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, spotting lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and occasional leopards, led by expert rangers.
- Buffet lunch is served between 12:45 and 13:45 with a selection of local and international dishes.
- Leisure time from 14:00 to 16:00 allows guests to relax by the infinity pool, visit the curio shop, or join the Eco Synergy conservation tour.
- Optional activities available at your own expense include quad biking, horseback safari, and spa treatments.
- Departure from Aquila takes place between 16:00 and 16:30, with return to Cape Town between 18:00 and 19:00.
