The itinerary

Day 01

Flight to Mekele and Drive to Ahmedela

Upon arrival, meet your representative at Bole International Airport and transfer to the domestic terminal for your flight to Mekele.
After some rest, drive to Berhale and visit Afar villages.
Meet the camel caravan transporting salt to be sold in the cities of Tigray and neighbouring regions.
Then drive to Dallol to watch the Afar men mining salt. It is a spectacular sight, with myriad colours created by nature, unique in the world.
