Tackle a demanding two day mountaineering expedition to Peak Komsomol near Almaty, crossing glaciers, moraines and steep alpine terrain. Climb from Shymbulak to a high altitude summit while staying overnight in a traditional yurt. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatisation at Shymbulak
- Meet in Almaty and transfer to Shymbulak Ski Resort by vehicle.
- Take the ski lift up to Talgar Pass at 3200 metres.
- Hike towards the summit of Shymbulachka Peak at 3450 metres.
- Arrive at the traditional nomadic yurt camp for overnight stay at 3200 metres.
- Rest and acclimatise in preparation for the summit attempt.

Day 2: Summit Ascent of Peak Komsomol and Descent
- Begin early morning departure around 4 am for summit day.
- Traverse moraines and icy terrain of the Bogdanovich Glacier.
- Ascend to Komsomol Pass before climbing the rocky ridge towards the summit.
- Reach the summit of Peak Komsomol and enjoy panoramic alpine views.
- Descend back towards Almaty following the completed climb.
- Note that the schedule may change depending on weather, safety and group conditions.
