Itinerary

1. Day 1: Fishing Experience and Transfer to Kirindy Forest

   • Start the day at 7:00am after breakfast and head to the sea for a traditional fishing experience with locals using an outrigger boat.
   • Sail for about one hour into the sea and begin fishing for species such as sardines, barracuda and tuna.
   • Return to the coast of Morondava and visit Betania fishing village.
   • Learn about the Vezo tribe and their semi nomadic coastal lifestyle.
   • Explore mangrove forests and observe coastal birds such as kingfishers.
   • Experience traditional dance and music known as Kilalaky.
   • Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch in Betania village.
   • Drive to Kirindy with stops at the Hollow Baobabs and Baobab Avenue for photos.
   • Arrive and relax before heading for an evening activity.
   • Take a guided night walk in Kirindy Forest to spot nocturnal wildlife including sportive lemurs, mouse lemurs, chameleons, owls and the fosa.
   • Return to the hotel after the visit.

2. Day 2: Explore Kirindy Forest and Baobab Avenue Sunset

   • Begin the morning with breakfast surrounded by dry deciduous forest.
   • Drive to Kirindy Forest for a guided walk to explore its unique ecosystem.
   • Spot wildlife including brown lemurs, white lemurs, birds and the fosa.
   • Learn about medicinal plants and observe giant baobab trees.
   • Return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation.
   • Drive towards Morondava in the afternoon.
   • Stop at Baobab Lovers and the Sacred Baobab along the way.
   • Visit Baobab Avenue and enjoy a spectacular sunset among towering trees.
   • Learn about baobabs and capture scenic photographs.
   • Plant a baobab tree as part of conservation efforts.
   • Taste baobab juice and local ice cream.
   • Continue the drive back to Morondava after sunset.
