Meeting the tour guide and driver at Toamasina Cruise Port between 07:30 AM and 08:00 AM.
Receive a brief orientation, safety instructions, and bottled water.
Transfer by private 4x4 vehicle or bus to the canal embarkation point, located approximately 30 minutes south of the port.
Board on a motorised boat for a scenic cruise along the Canal des Pangalanes.
Glide through freshwater lakes, rainforest landscapes, and narrow waterways along the Indian Ocean.
Spot wild birds, aquatic plants, and possibly lemurs along the canal banks.
Stop at a local fishing village such as Ambohitsara to observe daily life and traditional fishing techniques.
Arrive at Palmarium Reserve in Akanin'ny Nofy, located along Lake Ampitabe.
Take a short boat transfer from the canal to the reserve entrance.
Enjoy a guided walk through the reserve and observe lemurs, including black and white ruffed lemurs, crowned lemurs, and indri indri.
Learn about lemur behaviour, conservation efforts, and the unique ecosystem of the reserve.

Return by boat to the canal embarkation point.
Transfer back to Toamasina Cruise Port by private vehicle.
Pass through eastern coastal landscapes during the return journey.
