Day 1: Addis Ababa to Semera and Danakil Depression and Lake Afdera
- Fly from Addis Ababa to Semera and depart early morning by 4x4 to the Danakil Depression.
- Visit Lake Afdera, a hypersaline lake, and observe camel caravans transporting salt.
- Walk across the salt flats at Ale Asale and enjoy the desert sunset.
- Pick up police scouts, local guides, and permits for the Afar region.
- Camp overnight at Hamed Ela.

Day 2: Dallol and Lake Asale and Erta Ale Volcano
- Explore the Dallol hydrothermal fields, Africa’s lowest point with colourful mineral formations.
- Visit Lake Asale and observe Afar nomads extracting salt with camels.
- Drive to Dodom and trek 15 kilometres to Erta Ale volcano.
- Witness the glowing lava lake at night.
- Camp overnight near Erta Ale base camp.

Day 3: Erta Ale to Semera and Return to Addis Ababa
- Descend from Erta Ale in the early morning.
- Stop at Lake Afdera hot springs for swimming and relaxation.
- Drive back to Semera to catch a flight to Addis Ababa.
- End the tour or overnight in Addis Ababa if required.
