Experience the Everest Base Camp Trek through the stunning Khumbu region of Nepal. Fly to Lukla and trek through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche and Dingboche while enjoying views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. Visit Tengboche Monastery and hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest. Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
- Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m / 9,318 ft) and trek to Phakding (2,610m / 8,563 ft), covering 6 to 7 km in 3 to 4 hours.
Day 2: Trek to Namche Bazaar
- Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m / 11,286 ft), covering 10 to 11 km in 6 to 7 hours.
Day 3: Acclimatisation at Namche Bazaar

Acclimatisation day at Namche Bazaar with a hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m / 12,729 ft), covering 4 to 5 km in 3 to 4 hours.
Day 4: Trek to Tengboche
- Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m / 12,664 ft), covering 9 to 10 km in 5 to 6 hours.
- Visit Tengboche Monastery.
Day 5: Trek to Dingboche
- Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m / 14,469 ft), covering 10 to 11 km in 5 to 6 hours.
Day 6: Acclimatisation at Dingboche
- Acclimatisation day at Dingboche with a hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m / 16,676 ft), covering 4 to 5 km in 3 to 4 hours.
Day 7: Trek to Lobuche
- Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m / 16,108 ft), covering 8 to 9 km in 5 to 6 hours.
Day 8: Trek to Everest Base Camp

Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164m / 16,942 ft) and continue to Everest Base Camp (5,364m / 17,598 ft), covering 12 to 14 km in 7 to 8 hours.
Day 9: Kala Patthar and Trek to Pheriche
- Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m / 18,192 ft) for sunrise views of Mount Everest.
- Trek down to Pheriche (4,240m / 13,910 ft), covering 10 to 12 km in 6 to 7 hours.
Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar
- Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m / 11,286 ft), covering 18 to 20 km in 7 to 8 hours.
Day 11: Trek to Lukla
- Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,840m / 9,318 ft), covering 18 to 19 km in 7 to 8 hours.
Day 12: Buffer Day at Lukla
- Buffer or rest day at Lukla (2,840m / 9,318 ft) in case of flight delay.
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu
- Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,400m / 4,593 ft).
Day 14: Leisure Day in Kathmandu
- Leisure or sightseeing day in Kathmandu.
Day 15: Departure
- Final departure from Kathmandu.

Know Before You Go

Everest Base Camp is at 5364 metres.

Risk of acute mountain sickness is real.

Proper acclimatisation days at Namche and Dingboche are essential.

Moderate to good fitness is required.

Expect 5 to 7 hours of trekking daily on uneven terrain.

Spring from March to May and autumn from September to November offer the best weather and views.

Sagarmatha National Park permit is required.

Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality permit is required.

Teahouses are available throughout the route.

Meals include dal bhat noodles soups and tea.

Bring enough cash from Kathmandu or Lukla.

No reliable ATMs beyond Namche Bazaar.

Limited Wi Fi and mobile network at higher altitudes.

Warm layered clothing down jacket gloves and hat are essential.

Good trekking boots and sleeping bag for minus 10 to minus 15 degrees are required.
