The itinerary

Day 01

Entebbe or Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

  • "Karibu" - welcome to Uganda, "The Pearl of Africa".
  • Early in the morning, our experienced guide will pick you up from Entebbe or Kampala to begin your journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will stay for one night.
  • At Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild white rhinos, you will have the chance to observe these members of the "Big Five." Most active during the early morning and evening, they are part of a reintroduction project and will eventually be released into national parks.

Day 02

Rhino Trekking at Ziwa and Drive to Murchison Falls

After breakfast, embark on a short hike led by an experienced ranger as you track the magnificent rhinoceroses. Experience the thrill of observing these rare and awe-inspiring animals up close in their natural surroundings.

You will then continue to Murchison Falls, where the scenery of the park begins to unfold around you. Uganda's largest national park is richly endowed with many animal species and is known for the so-called "Big 4" - lions, leopards, elephants, and buffalo. During your evening game drive, you will see a great number of animals, including giraffes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, buffaloes, and much more, before proceeding to the lodge for dinner.

Day 03

Morning Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari

After breakfast, you will set off for a sunrise game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Explore open grasslands and savannahs where lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and African buffalo roam. Home to 76 species of mammals and over 450 bird species - including Uganda's national bird, the grey crowned crane - Murchison Falls National Park offers a true safari experience.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari on the Nile. During the approximately two-hour tour, keep an eye out for crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of waterbirds until you reach the famous Murchison Falls. Just a few meters before the gorge, the boat will stop at a rock, where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Africa's longest river, the Nile. Back at your lodge, relax and let the day come to a perfect close while enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 04

Top of the Falls Visit and Return to Kampala or Entebbe

After your final breakfast, you will drive to see the thunderous Murchison Falls - Africa's most powerful waterfall. The river squeezes through a narrow gorge just 7 meters wide before plunging 43 meters, creating unforgettable memories. After viewing the River Nile, you will journey back to Entebbe or Kampala, with arrival at Entebbe International Airport if needed. We wish you a wonderful journey home or a longer stay in the capital, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Uganda for another unforgettable adventure.
