Description
The Marangu Route, often called the “Coca-Cola” or “Easy” route, is the shortest and one of the most popular paths to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the only route that offers comfortable hut accommodation at each campsite, featuring bunk beds with mattresses and pillows, solar lighting, and shared dining areas. Mandara and Kibo Huts each have about 60 beds, while Horombo Hut has 120 beds. Lower camps provide running water and bathrooms, while basic latrines are available at the final camp. Climbers from around the world share meals in communal huts, creating a lively atmosphere. An optional extra acclimatization day at Horombo improves summit success rates.
