Go on a 5-day mountain-to-sea adventure with a trek and climb to Mt. Mahameru via Ranupane village, passing Lake Ranu Kumbolo and reaching the high campsite at Kalimati. Hike to the volcanic cone to watch the sunrise from the summit, then descend through vast fertile farming land via Mt. Ayek Ayek. Continue by road to Lenggoksono beach village and explore the secluded beaches of Banyu Anjlok, Kletekan, and Bolu-Bolu.

Day by day
Meet the guide and get picked up from your hotel or the airport in Malang.
Drive to the village of Ngadas by 4x4 Toyota.
Arrive in Ngadas village.
Trek to the village of Ranupane through local farming land.
Arrive at Ranupane village.
Stay overnight at Thomas Homestay or equivalent.
Dinner is served.
Have an early breakfast at the homestay.
Start trekking to the crater lake of Ranu Kumbolo, 2600 m asl.
Eat lunch served by the lake.
Continue trekking to Kalimati, 2700 m asl, and arrive at camp.
Prepare the campsite.
Dinner is served.
Stay overnight in shared tent accommodation.
Prepare for the pre-dawn climb to the summit of Mahameru. The steep trail to Arcopodo takes about an hour, and the remaining 600 m is very steep volcanic loose scree, so you need to wear medium-high trekking shoes with Vibram soles.
Arrive at the summit of Mahameru, 3676 m asl, the highest active volcano in Java.
Watch the sunrise and enjoy the snack and tea served.
Trek down to Arcopodo and Kalimati.
Eat breakfast.
Trek down to Ranu Kumbolo.
Have lunch.
Trek down to Ranupane via Mt. Ayek Ayek.
Stay overnight at Thomas Homestay in a shared room.
Dinner is served.
Have an early breakfast at the homestay.
Start driving down to the town of Lumajang by minibus via Senduro.
Continue to the beach village of Lenggoksono.
Take some rest.
Enjoy a seafood lunch served at the beach.
Park the minibus in the village. The driver can stay at a local inn.
Go beach-combing to Banyu Anjlok waterfall.
Have some free time.
Stay overnight in shared tented accommodation.
Dinner is served at a warung (local coffee shop).
Have an early breakfast.
Start beach-combing to Kletekan and Bolu-Bolu beach.
Enjoy lunch served at the beach.
Have a little free time.
Board a fisherman's boat.
Return to the beach village of Lenggoksono by traditional boat.
Get on the minibus.
Transfer to Bali, Surabaya, or Malang.
