Day 1: Discover the Singing Dunes and Basshi Village
08:00 AM: Depart from your hotel in Almaty and begin a scenic drive across the steppe towards Altyn Emel National Park.
Travel approximately 250 kilometres to reach Basshi Village, the main gateway settlement of the national park.
12:00 PM: Arrive at Basshi Village and enjoy a traditional lunch before continuing the expedition.
02:00 PM: Drive across the rugged landscapes of the park towards the famous Singing Dune.
03:00 PM: Explore the massive sand dune and learn about the natural phenomenon that produces a deep humming sound when the sand shifts.
Walk across the dune and enjoy sweeping views of the desert and steppe landscapes surrounding the area.
06:00 PM: Travel to a local guest house in Basshi Village, enjoy dinner and relax after a day of exploration.

Day 2: Explore the Aktau and Katutau Mountains
08:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast at the guest house before continuing your journey through the national park.
09:00 AM: Travel by 4x4 vehicle to the colourful formations of the Aktau Mountains.
10:30 AM – 01:00 PM: Explore the dramatic landscapes of the Aktau Mountains, known for their striking layered rock formations and otherworldly scenery.
01:00 PM: Enjoy lunch surrounded by the remote natural beauty of the park.
02:00 PM: Continue the expedition towards the volcanic rock formations of the Katutau Mountains.
03:00 PM – 05:00 PM: Discover the unique geological structures and volcanic landscapes while walking through the mountains with your guide.
05:00 PM: Begin the return journey by road to Almaty and arrive at your hotel in the evening.
