- Daytime: Begin your game drive - Tarangire is famous for:
- Huge elephant herds (often hundreds together).
- Iconic baobab trees dotting the savannah.
- Rich birdlife (over 500 species).
- Midday: Picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park.
- Afternoon: Continue exploring - look for lions lounging in the shade, leopards in trees, and giraffes along the Tarangire River.
- Evening: Overnight at a lodge or tented camp inside or near the park. Options range from rustic tented camps to luxury lodges overlooking the river.
2 Day: Tarangire - Arusha
- Early Morning: Sunrise game drive - best time to see predators active and elephants moving toward water.
- Daytime: Explore different sections of the park (Silale Swamp is excellent for birdlife and elephants).
- Midday: Picnic lunch in the park.
- Afternoon: Final game drive as you exit the park.
- Evening: Drive back to Arusha (approx. 2 hours).
