Itinerary

6-Hour Morning or Afternoon Departure to Cu Chi Tunnels
- Hotel pick up from central Ho Chi Minh City and depart for a scenic 1.5 hour drive through the countryside towards Cu Chi Tunnels.
- Listen to your guide share insights about the history and local life of southern Vietnam during the journey.
- Watch a short documentary film explaining the historical importance of the Cu Chi tunnel network.
- Explore the underground complex including command bunkers secret trapdoors booby traps and the famous Hoang Cam smokeless kitchen.
- Experience crawling through sections of the narrow tunnels to understand the conditions soldiers faced optional.
- Visit the firing range where you can try shooting an AK 47 or M60 optional and at your own expense.
- Enjoy a traditional wartime snack of steamed tapioca with peanut salt and hot tea.
- Relax during the return journey by air conditioned vehicle to Ho Chi Minh City.
- Drop off at your hotel or a central location in District 1.
- Morning tour ends around 02:00 PM and afternoon tour ends around 07:00 PM.

Know Before You Go

This tour involves walking on uneven forest paths. Crawling through the tunnels is a thrilling experience but completely optional. There are emergency exits every 20 meters if you feel uncomfortable.

If you suffer from severe claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces) or high blood pressure, we advise you not to enter the narrowest parts of the tunnels.

Please be aware that the Cu Chi Tunnels site has a live firing range. You will hear loud gunfire in the background during your visit.

The firing range is optional. If you wish to participate, the cost of bullets is not included, and you must be at least 18 years old and in good health.

The drive from Saigon to Cu Chi takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the city's famous traffic. We use high-quality AC vehicles to ensure your comfort.

Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of dust or dirt on. If visiting during the rainy season, a light poncho is recommended.

What To Bring

Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers (the ground at the tunnels can be uneven and dusty).

Sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses.

Essential for the lush gardens

Light, breathable clothes. If you plan to crawl in the tunnels, wear something you don't mind getting a little dirty.

A small folding umbrella or a light raincoat (especially during the rainy season from May to November).

A fully charged camera/phone and a power bank.

Some Vietnamese Dong (VND) for souvenirs, the firing range, or small personal purchases along the way.
