Itinerary

1. Day 1: Bisoke Volcano Hike Adventure

   • Begin the day with an early breakfast before setting off on a scenic drive to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park.

   • Arrive around 7:00 AM for a briefing and meet your assigned park ranger who will share insights about the region’s culture, history, and wildlife.

   • Embark on the Bisoke Volcano hike, a five to seven hour trek through lush montane forest and bamboo groves.

   • Reach the summit and admire the breathtaking crater lake surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Virunga Mountains.

   • Descend the volcano and reunite with your driver guide before driving to your lodge for the evening.

2. Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking and Return to Kigali

   • Enjoy an early breakfast before returning to Volcanoes National Park for the golden monkey trekking experience.

   • Trek through dense bamboo forests with your experienced guide in search of habituated golden monkeys.

   • Observe the monkeys as they leap between branches, feed on bamboo, and interact playfully within their social groups.

   • Spend one hour watching their fascinating behaviour and capturing memorable photographs.

   • Enjoy lunch before travelling back to Kigali in the afternoon.

3. Day 3: Kigali City Tour and Departure

   • Begin the day with a guided city tour of Kigali.
   • Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and resilience.
   • Explore local craft markets including Kimironko Market for cultural experiences and souvenirs.
   • Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure.
