Itinerary

1. Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha

   • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and warm welcome by your private safari guide followed by transfer to your lodge in Arusha.
   • Optional Arusha city tour if time allows including visits to Cultural Heritage Art Gallery and Maasai Market as well as local produce markets.

   Accommodation at Under the Shade Safari Lodge.

   Meals at own expense.

2. Day 2 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • After breakfast, begin your safari with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park.
   • Explore landscapes famous for massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, the wildlife rich Tarangire River, seasonal swamps, and vast savannah plains.
   • Look out for lions, giraffes, zebras, impalas, leopards, elands, warthogs, and over 500 bird species during your game drive.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with your afternoon wildlife viewing experience.

3. Day 3 – Karatu to Serengeti National Park

   • Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward Serengeti National Park.
   • Stop at the Ngorongoro Viewpoint for panoramic views of the caldera.
   • Afternoon game drive in Serengeti with opportunities for predator sightings and sunset views over the savannah.

   Accommodation at Signature Serengeti Luxury Camp.

4. Day 4 – Full Day Serengeti Safari

   • Spend the day exploring the wildlife rich ecosystems of Serengeti National Park.
   • Begin with a sunrise game drive, the best time to spot active predators.
   • Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants across the vast plains.
   • Explore kopjes, open grasslands, and riverine forests while observing over 500 bird species.
   • Optional activities at additional cost include a hot air balloon safari and guided walking safari.
   • Return at sunset for dinner and relaxation under the African sky.

5. Day 5 – Serengeti Sunrise and Transfer to Ngorongoro

   • Early morning sunrise safari for prime wildlife viewing.
   • Bush breakfast in the wild followed by continued exploration.
   • Transfer to the Ngorongoro Highlands.

   Accommodation at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge on the crater rim.

   Meals and drinks included except spirits.

6. Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha

   • Descend into Ngorongoro Crater, often called Africa’s Eden.
   • Explore approximately 260 square kilometres of wildlife habitat including lions, elephants, buffalo, flamingos, hippos, and rare black rhino.
   • Spend 5 to 6 hours inside the crater before returning to Arusha with arrival approximately 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
   • Airport drop off included.

   Meals include breakfast and lunch.
