Day 01

Arrival in Arusha

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
Meet and greet by a Jairos Adventure representative.
Transfer to your hotel in Arusha.
Time to relax and prepare for the safari, depending on your arrival time.
Arusha serves as the main gateway to northern Tanzania safaris.

Overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 02

Arusha to Tarangire National Park Safari

Breakfast at the hotel.
Pick up by your professional safari guide.
Drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately 2.5 hours on tarmac roads.
Enjoy a game drive through Tarangire, named after the Tarangire River.
Spot large elephant families, giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and predators such as lions and leopards.
Observe ancient baobab trees and exceptional birdlife.
Picnic lunch at a designated site inside the park.
Continue with an afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park.
Drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 03

Karatu to Serengeti via Ngorongoro

Breakfast at the lodge.
Drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Stop at a viewpoint overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater.

Enjoy a picnic lunch en route.
Game drive upon entering Serengeti National Park.
Experience vast open plains and abundant wildlife.

Day 04

Full-Day Serengeti Game Drives

Early morning game drive (optional).
Return to camp for breakfast.
Morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park.

Option for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park.
Alternatively, return to camp for lunch and rest.
Evening game drive across the Serengeti plains.

Day 05

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Breakfast at the camp.

Know before you go

This tour starts and ends in Arusha.
The operator can help select your international or domestic flights, but you must book them yourself.
Fly to/from Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO - check price) near Arusha. Or fly to/from Arusha Airport (ARK - check price) via Dar es Salaam or Nairobi (Kenya).
A transfer from and back to the airport is included.
Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged for an extra cost.
