The Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake is an exceptional Himalayan adventure designed for trekkers seeking both high-altitude challenge and natural beauty. This classic journey takes you deep into the heart of the Annapurna region, combining dramatic mountain scenery with cultural immersion and the awe-inspiring beauty of Tilicho Lake.
This 16-day trek is among the most rewarding experiences in Nepal, offering an extraordinary range of landscapes—from lush valleys and terraced farmlands to alpine terrain and arid trans-Himalayan zones. Along the way, you will pass through diverse ethnic villages, ancient monasteries, and spiritual landmarks, gaining insight into the traditional lifestyles of the mountain communities.
The adventure begins with an early-morning drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule, followed by a scenic jeep ride to Dharapani. From here, the trek continues through Chame and Upper Pisang, where breathtaking views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna III unfold. As you trek onward to Manang, you will be surrounded by towering peaks such as Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, and Pisang Peak, as well as Tibetan-influenced villages and landscapes.
After an acclimatization day in Manang, the trail leads toward Siri Kharka and onward to Tilicho Base Camp. The following day rewards you with a visit to the stunning Tilicho Lake, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters set beneath towering Himalayan giants. After soaking in the views, you return to Siri Kharka before rejoining the main Annapurna Circuit route.
The trek then continues through Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (or High Camp, weather permitting), preparing you for the ultimate challenge—crossing the iconic Thorong La Pass (5,416m). From the pass, you descend to the sacred town of Muktinath, a pilgrimage site deeply revered by both Hindu and Buddhist devotees.
After exploring Muktinath, the journey continues to Jomsom, a vibrant trading town in the Kali Gandaki Valley. An early-morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara offers a final, unforgettable aerial perspective of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. From Pokhara, you return to Kathmandu by tourist bus, marking the conclusion of this remarkable Himalayan adventure.
