Discover Aburi on Ghana's Akwapim - Togo range, where cool mountainous weather and a tranquil setting make the Aburi Botanical Gardens a refreshing escape. More than just a collection of plants, the gardens welcome visitors with a beautifully lined avenue of royal palm trees and the remarkable silk cotton tree, acclaimed as one of the biggest trees in West Africa and said to be the only survivor of the original forest that once covered the Aburi Hills. The tour continues to the Tetteh Quarshie farm near Mampon, officially recognised as the first cocoa farm in Ghana from 1879.
