Day 01

Arrival in Tanzania and Leisure Time in Arusha

  • Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport at any time.
  • Meet your safari driver and transfer to Arusha.
  • Settle in at Masailand Safari Lodge, located at the foothills of Mount Meru.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure to relax and recover from your journey.
  • Prepare for the safari adventure ahead in a peaceful natural setting.

Day 02

Safari in Sinya Nature Conservancy

  • Depart after breakfast and travel by road to Sinya Nature Conservancy, a remote private wildlife area beneath Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Explore flood plains, rolling hills, and acacia woodlands set against spectacular mountain views.
  • Discover one of Northern Tanzania's most pristine wilderness regions.
  • Observe Maasai land known for its arid beauty and rich wildlife.
  • Spot giant bull elephants over fifty years old with impressive tusks.
  • Witness migrating elephant herds moving between Amboseli National Park and Sinya in search of water and food.

Day 03

Sinya Game Drives and Maasai Cultural Encounters

  • Depart at sunrise after breakfast for an early morning game drive in the conservancy.
  • Enjoy clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro as the clouds lift, creating excellent photography conditions.
  • Visit a local Maasai compound and observe the daily life and traditions of extended families.
  • Return to camp for lunch and time to relax.
  • Set out on another game drive across the conservancy.
  • Take a guided walk escorted by experienced Maasai trackers.
  • Visit the Maasai market if travelling on a Tuesday and observe local trade in cattle, crafts, and fabrics.
  • Spend the final evening in Sinya with time around the campfire followed by dinner.

Day 04

Safari in Arusha National Park

  • Depart Sinya after breakfast and drive to Arusha National Park.
  • Explore one of Tanzania's most scenic parks set between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Spot rare black-and-white colobus monkeys in the Ngurdoto Forest.
  • Observe alkaline lakes attracting flamingoes and a wide variety of birdlife.
  • Encounter elephants, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, and large giraffe populations.
  • Learn about the presence of the rare black rhino within the park.
  • Take a short guided walk to a viewpoint overlooking the Ngurdoto Crater, reserved entirely for wildlife.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch followed by further wildlife viewing.
  • Drive back to Arusha in the afternoon after completing the safari.
