Day 01

Arrival in Urgench and Transfer to Khiva

Across the Kyzylkum Desert to Bukhara

Nurata, Aydarkul Lake, and Yurt Camp

  • Departure towards Nurata via Gijduvan to visit the ceramics workshop of master Abdullo Nurullaev.
  • Visit the ancient caravanserai Rabat-i-Malik and the Sardoba reservoir.
  • Arrival in Nurata: explore Alexander the Great's Wall and Chashma spring.
  • Continue to Aydarkul Lake for swimming and a shore walk (weather permitting).
  • Proceed to the yurt camp and enjoy a camel ride.
  • Outdoor dinner with Kazakh songs around the fire.

Mitan Village Experience and Samarkand

  • Breakfast at the camp and departure for Samarkand via Mitan.
  • Visit a local family and experience rural life.

  • Evening free time. Suggested:
  • Walk in the Russian Quarter
  • El Merosi Traditional Costume Theatre (optional)

Samarkand City Highlights

  • Visit the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, the 15th-century tomb of the Timurid dynasty.

Panjikent, the Seven Lakes, and Ayrikiya

  • Depart for the Fan Mountains.
  • Cross the Tajik border at Jartepa (passport required).
  • Stop in Panjikent to explore the local bazaar and artisans' stalls.
  • Continue to the Seven Lakes (Haft Kul) in the Fan Mountains.
  • Visit the lower lakes: Nezhegon, Soya, Gushor, and Marguzor, each known for its unique colours and charm.
  • Return to Uzbekistan in the afternoon.
  • Drive to the village of Ayrikiya.
