The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Port Moresby and Bird Watching Briefing

Arrive at Port Moresby Jackson International Airport, where you will be welcomed by a traditional singing group and transferred to the Hilton Hotel for accommodation. A hotel briefing will be provided before rooms are assigned to clients. During this time, guests can prepare their gear for the next morning's early journey to the park, which is about 1 hour and 20 minutes outside the city in Sogeri, where the largest national park is located.

At 6:00 pm, enjoy a welcome dinner with the whole team. After dinner, there will be introductions and a briefing on the highlights of the next day's tour.

Day 1 Activity

Wake up at 5:45 am, get ready, and have breakfast packed by the hotel.
Depart at 6:00 am for the birding site, approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes' drive from the hotel.
Meet the bird specialist at 7:20 am, receive a briefing, and begin photographing birds in the park.
The park is very large and covered with canopy; therefore, even at 7:00 am, it will still be dark in the park.
Groups will be arranged depending on the number of bookings for this tour.
At 12:00 pm, have a combined lunch at the information center in the park, an excellent spot for the whole team to gather for a lunch break.
After lunch, the team leader will brief guests on the weather conditions in the park and check whether the bird watchers are satisfied with their photography of different species of birds in the park.
At 1:00 pm, the group will depart back to the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby.

Day 02

Bird Watching and Port Moresby City Tour

Day 2 Activity

From 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, enjoy a 2-hour city tour of Port Moresby. This is an extra tour that is normally provided to clients, ensuring they see the suburban areas of Port Moresby. By 4:00 pm, guests return to the hotel to prepare for a formal dinner.

At 6:00 pm, the whole team will gather for a formal dinner. A word of appreciation from management will be given to clients for the wonderful time spent with the staff during the bird watching experience at the national park.

For international departure, the company vehicle will pick you up and transfer you to the airport 2 hours earlier for passport preparation.
