Badian Canyoneering and Moalboal Marine Adventure

Canyoneering Adventure + Moalboal Island & Marine Life Experience Tour.

This ultimate full-day land and sea adventure combines the Badian canyons with the Sardines Run, turtles, Coral Gardens, and an optional visit to Pescador Island.

Guests may choose the most suitable call time. Option A is the early start from 03:00 AM to 03:30 AM and is highly recommended for the best sunrise, the calmest ocean, fewer crowds, and the best lighting for photos. Option B is the regular start from 04:00 AM to 04:30 AM, offering a balanced schedule that is still perfect for all activities. Option C is the late start from 05:00 AM to 05:30 AM, though it may be more crowded, the ocean may be choppier, and the sardines may swim deeper.

From 03:00 AM to 06:00 AM, guests are picked up from the hotel and travel on a scenic 3-hour ride to Badian. Along the way, enjoy coastal sunrise views, cool early morning air, and a calm ocean horizon. Stopovers may include gas stations, coffee shops, stores, and toilets. During the ride, guests may sleep, listen to music, enjoy the scenery, or take photos.

Breakfast is from 06:00 AM to 06:45 AM and features a local Cebuano meal. Choices include longsilog, tocilog, dangsilog, and omelet with toast. Optional delicacies include puto maya with sikwate, hot chocolate, fresh buko juice, and bibingka.

From 06:45 AM to 07:15 AM, guests prepare for the adventure with a safety orientation and gear fitting. Equipment includes a helmet, life vest, aqua shoes, and dry bag, followed by guide instructions. The safety workshop covers jumping techniques, sliding posture, river floating methods, and environmental respect rules.

From 07:15 AM to 07:30 AM, guests take a habal-habal or 4x4 ride to the jump-off point. This short but adrenaline-pumping ride offers mountain breeze, forest views, a jungle atmosphere, and a fun mini-adventure before the main activity begins.

From 07:30 AM to 08:00 AM, guests trek to the canyon entrance. Along the way, they will enjoy forest pathways, small river crossings, limestone rocks, and photo-worthy spots. It is the perfect warm-up before the canyon thrill.

The main canyoneering experience runs from 08:00 AM to 12:00 NN. The adventure begins at the first blue pools from 08:00 AM to 08:20 AM, where guests enjoy warm-up mini-jumps, a scenic blue lagoon, swimming and floating, and the first major photo stop.

From 08:20 AM to 08:50 AM, the canyon river trekking section features limestone walls, crystal streams, slow-floating sections, and a trek-and-swim combination.

From 08:50 AM to 09:20 AM, guests enjoy natural water slides on smooth rock formations, natural mini-rapids, and fun group action shots.

From 09:20 AM to 09:40 AM, Cliff Jump Zone 1 offers jump points of 3 ft, 10 ft, 15 ft, and 20 ft. These jumps are optional, bypasses are available, and the area is perfect for action photos.

From 09:40 AM to 10:10 AM, the jungle canyon pathway reveals deep lagoons, tall canyon walls, cool natural shadows, and beautiful light reflections. This is one of the most scenic parts of the route.

From 10:10 AM to 10:40 AM, Cliff Jump Zone 2 offers advanced 30-35 ft jumps, guide-assisted mini jumps, and an optional bypass. Epic photos are guaranteed.

From 10:40 AM to 11:30 AM, guests enjoy a canyon float and relaxation section with a relaxing river float, calm turquoise waters, dreamy blue scenery, and a perfect meditative moment. Guests always love this part.

From 11:30 AM to 12:00 NN, the route arrives at Kawasan Falls, where guests can admire the iconic 3-tier waterfalls, swim in the emerald pool, enjoy the cool refreshing mist, and take IG-worthy photos.

Lunch is from 12:00 NN to 01:00 PM and is served riverside or in a restaurant. Options include Filipino dishes, rice meals, and drinks. Optional add-ons include fruit shakes, halo-halo, pineapple juice, and fresh mango.

From 01:00 PM to 01:30 PM, guests travel to Moalboal. During this time, they may rest, change clothes, and prepare their snorkeling gear.

The Moalboal snorkeling experience begins with the world-famous Sardines Run from 01:30 PM to 02:00 PM. Guests can witness millions of sardines in 360-degree tornado movement, enjoy shallow-water viewing, and take in stunning underwater visuals.

From 02:00 PM to 02:30 PM, Turtle Point offers the chance to swim with peaceful sea turtles in clear waters. It is a perfectly calm spot and great for beginners.

From 02:30 PM to 03:00 PM, the Coral Gardens showcase colorful corals, hundreds of reef fish, great visibility, and gentle currents in a true marine paradise.

From 03:45 PM to 04:30 PM, guests have free time for optional activities such as watching the sunset by the beach, relaxing at a cafe by the sea, enjoying fresh coconut, souvenir shopping, drone photography, kayak rental, or hammock relaxation.

From 04:30 PM to 07:30 PM, the tour returns to Cebu City. Guests may sleep, watch the scenery, or edit their photos during the drive.

Arrival at the hotel is between 07:30 PM and 08:00 PM, marking a perfect ending to a perfect adventure.

  • Expect a long, exciting outdoor adventure across forests, mountains, rivers, canyons, waterfalls, coral reefs, and open ocean.
  • Long scenic drives are included, so the tour requires sustained energy and a positive attitude.
  • Canyoneering requires moderate physical activity, including trekking, climbing, balancing, swimming through deep and shallow pools, sliding on smooth natural rock formations, and walking across uneven rocky terrain.
  • Cliff jumps of various heights are optional, and guide assistance is always available.
  • This tour is not recommended for pregnant guests, guests with heart issues, severe asthma, knee or back injuries, mobility limitations, or anyone with an extreme fear of heights or water.
  • Swimming skills are helpful but not required.
  • Life vests are mandatory for all guests, and guides personally assist non-swimmers.
  • Cliff jumps are optional, with heights ranging from 3 ft to 35 ft, and all jumps have bypass trails.
  • You can skip any jump, and no guest is ever forced to jump.
  • Weather, water level, and sea conditions may affect the itinerary.
  • Rain affects canyon currents, wind affects boat access to Pescador Island, and ocean conditions change from day to day.
  • Sardines are always present, but visibility may vary.
  • Guides have the final call on all safety decisions.
  • Bring a waterproof phone case or GoPro, as everything gets wet, including phones.
  • Use a waterproof case with a strap, and note that dropped phones in deep water cannot be retrieved.
  • Apply sunscreen, preferably reef-safe, before canyoneering and reapply before snorkeling.
  • Avoid getting sunscreen in your eyes.
  • Eat a complete breakfast before canyoneering.
  • A breakfast stop is provided, but breakfast is at the guest's own expense.
  • Expect basic facilities in mountain and beach areas, including simple restrooms and basic cold-water showers.
  • Bring your own towel and toiletries such as shampoo, soap, and wipes.
  • Respect nature and wildlife rules: do not touch sea turtles, chase sardines, step on corals, stray from the guide, or throw garbage.
  • Be mentally prepared for a real adventure involving heights, water, deep pools, teamwork, unexpected moments, and adrenaline rushes.
  • The tour may be adjusted, paused, or rescheduled due to heavy rain, strong winds, unsafe ocean waves, high canyon water levels, thunderstorms, or rescue operations.
  • Stay connected before pick-up by keeping your phone on, waiting in the hotel lobby 10 minutes early, and sharing your accurate pick-up location.
  • Secure your valuables by bringing only essentials, keeping cash in a waterproof pouch, securing electronic devices, avoiding jewelry, and avoiding unnecessary bags.
  • Always wear your safety gear with no exceptions, including your helmet, life vest, aqua shoes, and dry bag.
  • Follow guide instructions exactly, as they know the terrain, safe routes, strong currents, and group pacing.
  • Jump only in designated areas.
  • Jump feet first only, do not dive head-first, do not do somersaults, follow the guide's timing, jump straight rather than sideways, and never jump without the guide checking the depth.
  • Use the correct sliding technique by leaning backward, keeping your arms inside, extending your feet forward, and not leaning sideways.
  • Non-swimmers must stay beside the guide during deep-water sections.
  • Wet and slippery rocks are everywhere, so step slowly, use both hands, follow the guide's footholds, and never run.
  • If there is sudden heavy rain, rapid water rise, brown or muddy water, lightning, or huge waves, the tour will be paused, rerouted, or ended.
  • Wear your life jacket at all times while snorkeling, stay near the guide or boat, avoid stepping on corals, swim calmly, control your kicks, and do not dive aggressively.
  • Maintain a distance of 1-2 meters from turtles, do not touch them, do not block their swimming path, do not grab them for photos, and do not chase them.
  • Move slowly and gently during the Sardines Run, do not break the sardine formation, do not swim directly into the school, and avoid violent splashing.
  • Declare all medical conditions before the tour starts, including asthma, diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions, skin allergies, injuries, anxiety, or panic disorder.
