Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Accra City & Coastline (0–1 hr local travel)

   • Morning pick-up from your accommodation in Accra
   • Visit Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum & Park – Learn Ghana’s independence history
   • Artists Alliance Gallery or Nubuke Foundation – Explore Ghanaian art and culture
   • Makola Market & Oxford Street (Osu) – Experience city life, fabrics, and crafts
   • Lunch at The Buka Restaurant
   • Bojo Beach (45 min drive) – Canoe crossing, swimming, & beach dinner at sunset 

   Optional Evening

   • Live music or nightlife at +233 Jazz Bar

   Overnight | Accra City Hotel – Accra

2. Day 2 - Aburi & Akosombo (Approx. 2 to 2.5 hrs total drive)

   • Depart Accra early for Aburi (45 min to 1 hr)
   • Visit Aburi Botanical Gardens, Walk the 1890 colonial gardens; take photos under giant palm avenues.
   • Stop at Aburi Wood Carving Village for handcrafted souvenirs
   • Learn Ghana’s cocoa legacy at Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm
   • Continue to Akosombo (1.5 hrs)
   • Akosombo Dam & Lake Volta Cruise – Enjoy a guided tour or private boat ride
   • Relax by the resort pool or dine by the lakeside at sunset

3. Day 3 - Ada Foah (Approx. 3 hrs drive from Akosombo)

   • Depart Akosombo after breakfast for Ada Foah (3 hrs via Asutsuare)
   • Volta River Estuary Cruise – Explore where river meets sea, with mangrove views and birdlife
   • Enjoy jet skiing, kayaking, or banana boat rides at Aqua Safari or Treasure Island Resort
   • Lunch by the beach
   • Visit nearby fishing villages or turtle nesting sites (seasonal, August to December)
   • Drive back to Accra (2 hrs)
