Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

   • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and complete immigration formalities.
   • Meet the Namaste Nepal representative and transfer to your 4-star hotel.
   • Freshen up and relax or take a short stroll nearby to explore Kathmandu.

2. Day 2: Visa Submission and Sightseeing in Kathmandu

   • Submit your application for the Chinese Group Visa at the Namaste Nepal office.
   • Explore Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Swayambhunath Stupa with a tour guide.
   • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and return to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha, and Boudhanath Stupa

   • Visit Pashupatinath Temple for a traditional puja ceremony and spiritual experience.
   • Explore Boudhanath Stupa and Budhanilkantha Temple (Sleeping Vishnu).
   • Return to the hotel for relaxation and leisure.

4. Day 4: Fly to Nepalgunj and Meet Group Members

   • Collect the Chinese Group Visa and attend a pre-trip briefing.
   • Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and transfer to the hotel.
   • Meet group members and explore Nepalgunj if time permits.

5. Day 5: Fly to Simikot and Helicopter to Hilsa, Drive to Taklakot

   • Fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot and enjoy aerial views of the Himalayas.
   • Board a helicopter from Simikot to Hilsa and complete border formalities.
   • Drive 27 km to Taklakot in Tibet and check into the guesthouse.

6. Day 6: Rest and Acclimatisation at Taklakot

   • Rest at the guesthouse to acclimatise to high altitude.
   • Take a gentle stroll through the local market if desired.

7. Day 7: Drive to Mansarovar Lake, Visit Chiu Gompa

   • Drive 120 km to Mansarovar Lake and witness Mount Kailash.
   • Circumambulate Mansarovar by vehicle and visit Chiu Gompa.
   • Engage in spiritual activities such as puja, meditation, or holy bath.

8. Day 8: Mansarovar Circumambulation, Drive to Darchen

   • Complete the Mansarovar kora by vehicle, visiting Seralung Monastery and other spiritual sites.
   • Drive to Darchen, the base of Mount Kailash, and check into your accommodation.

9. Day 9: Kailash Kora – Darchen to Diraphuk via Tarboche

   • Drive 30 minutes from Darchen to Tarboche (Yama Dwar) and begin the Kora trek.
   • Trek 10 km to Diraphuk, ascending gently with a final steep stretch.
   • Check into the guesthouse at Diraphuk and enjoy dinner.

10. Day 10: Trek from Diraphuk to Zutulphuk via Dolma-La Pass

    • Begin trekking early, covering 22 km including the Dolma La Pass at 5,660 m.
    • Descend to Gauri Kunda and continue to Zutulphuk, checking into the guesthouse.

11. Day 11: Trek from Zutulphuk to Mani Wall, Drive to Taklakot

    • Trek 3 hours to Mani Wall and reflect on the spiritual journey.
    • Drive back through Darchen, Paryang, and Dzongba to Taklakot.

12. Day 12: Drive to Hilsa, Helicopter to Simikot

    • Drive from Taklakot to Hilsa and complete border formalities.
    • Take a helicopter back to Simikot and relax for the remainder of the day.

13. Day 13: Fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj, then Kathmandu

    • Board flights from Simikot to Nepalgunj, and onward to Kathmandu.
    • Transfer to your hotel and rest after the journey.

14. Day 14: Final Departure

    • Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home.
    • Option to extend your stay in Nepal for additional treks or sightseeing.
