Wear layered clothing as temperatures range from mild in Kathmandu to freezing at Kala Patthar, bring an insulated down jacket, warm gloves, and hat, UV-protected sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes or trekking boots for stepping out at landing spots like Kala Patthar and Everest View Hotel.

Carry a fully charged camera or smartphone with extra storage, a power bank, passport or valid ID, and a water bottle to stay hydrated at high altitudes.

Avoid bringing large backpacks or heavy luggage as helicopter space is limited, and drones without special government permits.

The best time to visit is spring (March–May) for rhododendron blooms and mild weather, autumn (September–November) for crisp skies and excellent visibility, winter (December–February) for clear skies and snow-covered peaks, and avoid monsoon (June–August) due to frequent clouds and flight delays.

Book early morning departures during spring or autumn for the clearest panoramic views and to avoid afternoon weather changes.
