Description

Go on an adventurous 1-day hiking tour to Al-Waba Crater from Jeddah. Arrive at the camp, have some snacks, trek to the bottom of the crater and click lots of photographs. Hike back up to the camp, set up a bonfire and have a traditional barbecue dinner before returning to Jeddah.

    • 07:00 am: Meet with your tour guide at your hotel in Jeddah.
    • 07:30 am: Drive to Al-Waba crater. It takes around 4-5 hrs.
    • 12:30 pm: Arrive at the crater area, and have drinks and snacks.
    • 02:00 pm: Start hiking down to the crater. It is a hike of around 2-3 hrs.
    • 04:00 pm: Visit the inside part of the unique crater, click photographs, and start hiking back to the camp.
    • 06:00 pm: Have a traditional barbecue dinner at the open camp.
    • 07:00 pm: Set up a bonfire and enjoy the view while drinking tea or coffee. 
    • 08:00 pm: Drive back to your hotel in Jeddah.

Know before you go
  • It takes a person 45–60 minutes to go to the bottom of the crater. This crater is very slippery, and it is hard for people to come up to the surface. To climb back up, it takes approximately 60–90 minutes. There is some mobile phone signal within the crater, and the site receives very few visitors, even over weekends.
