14-Day Everest Base Camp Trek from Kathmandu with Kala Patthar

• On arrival at Kathmandu Airport, get transferred to the hotel after being received by our guides and staff.
• Join a group briefing regarding the trek and other helpful information, followed by a welcome dinner.

• Fly to Lukla with grand views of Himalayan peaks during the 35-minute flight.
• Then continue walking on a gradual trail with a few ups and downs, passing Sherpa villages to reach Phakding for an overnight stay.

• Start your morning with a hike on a gradual trail to reach Monjo and the Sagarmatha National Park entrance.
• From here, climb for a few hours to reach the famous Namche Bazaar for a two-night stop.

• Have a rest today to support acclimatization.
• Hike up to a scenic viewpoint facing Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and other mountain ranges.

• From Namche, head up on a winding trail through serene alpine woodland to reach the scenic Tengboche Monastery, surrounded by a series of peaks with views of Everest and Ama Dablam.

Overnight stop at Tengboche.

• In the morning, admire the grand views of the peaks.
• Then descend to the river, cross a bridge, and make a slow climb towards Pangboche village.
• Continue to reach Imjatse Valley.

Overnight at Dingboche.

• Have some rest and get acclimatized.
• Take a short hike up to Nagarjuna hilltop for excellent views of the mountains facing Imjatse and Dingboche below.

• From Dingboche, head up above Dingboche and Imjatse Valley with scenic views, then continue on a gentle ascent as the altitude increases, slowly reaching Thugla for a lunch stop.
• In the afternoon, climb to the ridge of Thugla-La, then continue on a gradual walk of about an hour to reach Lobuche for an overnight stay with views of Nuptse and Lobuche peaks.

• After leaving Lobuche, head toward the highlight of the trek at Everest Base Camp with a slow uphill walk above the Khumbu Glacier and moraine to reach the flat field at Gorakshep, a place with a few lovely lodges.
• From Gorakshep, continue walking toward the east to reach Everest Base Camp.
• On reaching the target, enjoy views of giant peaks with the Khumbu Icefall and glaciers, and then walk back to Gorakshep for an overnight stop.

• Early in the morning, take a steep uphill hike to the top of Kala Patthar at above 5,545 m, the highest point of the adventure, facing beautiful views of the mountain range with Everest and Pumori at close distance.
• From here, descend to Gorakshep and walk downhill to Lobuche, passing Thugla to reach Pheriche Valley.
• Continue the easy downhill walk to Pangboche for an overnight stop.

• From Pangboche, retrace the journey with ups and downs to Tengboche and continue to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stop.

• Take a long walk to reach your last stop in the Khumbu area at Lukla from Namche, descending to the river with a short climb to Monjo and then following an excellent trail to Phakding village.
• Reach Lukla for an overnight stay.

• In the morning, transfer to the Lukla air terminal to board a small aircraft for the scenic flight back to Kathmandu.

• Depart from the hotel for the airport for your international flight back to your home destination.
