The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival and Colonial Yangon with Shwedagon Pagoda

Meet your guide on arrival at Yangon International Airport and travel to your hotel.
After resting for an hour, embark on your excursion with a visit to downtown Yangon to see colonial buildings constructed during the British Empire.
Make your way to Botahtaung Pagoda, situated near the riverbank of Yangon.
Visit the Great Shwedagon Pagoda in the evening, considered one of the Wonders of the World.
Retire to the hotel for the night.

Day 02

Yangon Museums and Markets to Historic Bago

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, travel to Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda to see the Reclining Buddha image.
Explore the National Museum to learn about Myanmar's national history.
Make your way to Bogyoke Aung San Market, also called Scott's Market, to purchase valued gems and other local products.
Have a sumptuous lunch in Yangon and leave for Bago, about 80 km from Yangon.
In Bago, visit the ancient Shwemawdaw Pagoda, which is over a thousand years old.
The next destination is the Shwe Thalyaung Reclining Buddha image, which is 55 m long.
Visit the famous Maha Kalyani Sima Ordination Hall and Mahazedi, or Great Stupa.
If time permits, visit the Hantawaddy Palace of King Bayintnaung, founder of the Second Myanmar Empire.
Stay overnight in Bago.

Day 03

Journey to Kyaikhtiyo and the Golden Rock

After indulging in a hearty breakfast, make your way to Kyaikhto Township to get to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. Along the way, observe paddy fields and the ways of life of rural people.
Travel to Kin Pun Base Camp to visit Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda, taking a car to the base camp on a drive of approximately 45 minutes.
Explore the marvelous golden rock, Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda.
Enjoy the night view from the mountain top and stay there for the night.

Day 04

Mawlamyine Temples, Market, and Bilu Island

The next morning, go back to the base camp and proceed towards Mawlamyine.
Visit Mahamuni Pagoda, a famous temple site in Myanmar.
Make your way to the First Baptist Church and Zyegyi Market, where local products are bought and sold.
In the afternoon, go on an excursion to Bilu Island and enjoy the out-worldly experience.
Return to Mawlamyine in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset from Kyaikthanlan Pagoda, known as the Kipling Pagoda.
Stay the night in Mawlamyine.
