Red Route Hike Through Cappadocia's Valleys and Villages
- Start your day with a visit to Meskendir Valley, located on the outskirts of Göreme. Enjoy a leisurely hike through the valley, taking in the stunning rock formations and unique landscapes. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful scenery.
- Head to Zindanonu Valley, known for its towering rock formations and winding paths. Take your time to explore this valley at your own pace, marveling at the natural beauty around you.
- Continue to Red Valley, famous for its distinctive red-colored rock formations. Take a challenging hike through the valley and witness the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
- From Red Valley, proceed to Rose Valley, named for the beautiful roses that grow in the area. This valley is famous for its hidden churches and rock-cut houses.
- Next, make your way to Cavusin Village, located on the edge of the Red and Rose valleys. This village is home to many ancient cave dwellings and rock-cut churches, some of which date back to the Byzantine era. Explore the village and learn about the local culture and traditions.
- From Cavusin, head to Bozdağ Slopes, which offer panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains.
- After Bozdağ Slopes, visit Paşabağ, also known as Monk's Valley, famous for its unique mushroom-shaped rock formations. Learn about the local folklore and legends associated with the area.
- Finally, complete the tour with a visit to a local rugs and kilims store atelier, where you can learn about the traditional art of rug-making and purchase beautiful handmade souvenirs to take home.
