Recoleta Highlights Tour
- Meet the tour guide at the meeting point and start by exploring Avenida Alvear, one of the most elegant and expensive streets in Buenos Aires. Admire the beautiful mansions and palaces that line the street, including the famous Palacio Duhau.
- Enjoy Plaza Francia, a beautiful public square in Recoleta's heart. Take a walk around the park and admire the oldest tree planted in the city from the XIX century, which is so big that its branches are held up by several iron jack posts, creatively and artistically installed.
- Head to the main attraction of the Recoleta neighbourhood, the Recoleta Cemetery. This cemetery is one of the most famous cemeteries in the world and is home to the graves of many famous Argentineans, including Eva Perón. Take a guided tour of the cemetery and see the many tombs and mausoleums there. Admire the beautiful sculptures and architecture of the cemetery, and learn about the history of some of the most famous people buried there.
- Stop by the Nuestra Señora del Pilar Church, a picturesque church with exquisite architecture.
- End the tour at the Floralis Generica, a famous sculpture in Plaza Naciones Unidas. This sculpture is a giant metal flower that opens and closes depending on the time of day. Take a few minutes to admire the sculpture and take photos before the tour ends.
