Day 01
La Rambla, Gothic Quarter and Catalan Music Palace Walk
- We will begin this interactive experience from La Rambla, the most famous promenade in Barcelona, with its fabled flower shops, market, and Opera House. Did you know that in 2006 the Ramblas was voted the best market in the world? It is also an excellent place for people-watching, and you can get an idea of what the people of Barcelona are like by observing the shops and stalls.
- Next, we will walk to the Royal Square, or Plaza Reial, the most emblematic square in Barcelona. Here, you will learn about its significance for coin and stamp collectors. Walking through Ferran Street, we will help you join the dots between the street lamps and its engineer's mother-in-law.
- These ancient streets, built in Roman times, will lead us into the Jewish Quarter. Artists like Joan Miró were born here a century ago, and you will feel like you have entered a whole different world. Political Square is one of the city's hotspots. Here, on one side, you will see the Town Hall and, on the other, the House of the President. We will zoom in to show you the statue of Saint Jorge. Then we proceed to the Gothic Quarter, and please hold onto your jaws, as they might drop after you see the facade of La Catedral. The last stop on our experience will be the Catalan Music Palace, yet another visual delight in our beautiful city.
