The itinerary

Day 01

Golden Circle Tour to Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir

Depart from Reykjavík and drive across a mountain pass and lava field.
Pass Mt. Ingolfsfjall, named after the first official settler, and spot salmon rivers, summer cottages, farmland, farm animals such as horses, sheep, and cattle - as well as volcanoes.
Arrive at Gullfoss Waterfall (Golden Waterfall) and spend enough time to enjoy the waterfall.
Watch a spouting spring at the Geysir geothermal area and head for the Parliament plains - Iceland's most historic place, a geological wonder, and national park, which was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2004.
