My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Myanmar and there is no question that a lot of it had to do with our guide Oliver.  He is well informed, insightful, funny and a pleasure to be with.  He made our on shore excursions, we were on a river cruise, an adventure! 

I have worked it the Travel Industy now for over 35 years and have had many tour guides on personal holidays, educational trips and for our own escorted journeys. Oliver was a sensational guide, his knowledge was impecible and his english was extremely good. He went out of his way to attend to all of my clients needs giving everyone equal attention and managed to change our tour so we could see things we missed due to poor weather the previous day. I know his efforts were appreciated by all that traelled on our group. I rate Oliver at the top of the list of may tour guides I have had during my many years in the undustry. I will have no hessitation in requesting, in fact I will insist that we have Oliver as our guide on future travels to Myanmar.

It was always a pleasure to meet Oliver every day during our  river cruise on the Sanctuary Ananda.

He was always smartly dressed and always greeted you with that lovely smile.Very fortunate to have travelled a lot and can say that Oliver was one of the best guides my wife and I have ever had.. He was so full of information and so passionate about his country.

We have avoided tours for most of our lengthy travelling history, being herded around in sizable groups and being fed exhausting globs of information is not generally our thing.  However the opportunity to join the river cruise on Sanctuary and its very small group daily tours was not something to be lost and what a good decision because Oliver (Naing Lin Aung ) made every day a delight.  He was charming, amusing and knowledgable about so many aspects of the local culture, arts, architecture and the way of life of the villagers and townspeople encountered.  Just as importantly he knew when to stand back and leave us to our own devices, yet always being availble to respond to individual questions with succinct answers.  Perfect.
