Our tour of Rio with Ederson was a highlight of our trip to Brazil.I can't imagine a better way to experience Rio than through Ederson's tour.  He is knowledgeable, (a historian disguised as a guide!), passionate, energetic, and flexible. This was our first trip to Brazil. I have family there and had very specific things I wanted to see.  A great uncle of mine was a well-known Brazilian artist. I am also related to a well-known family in Brazil. I wanted to understand more about my family. Ederson responded quickly to our request for a tour. He was one of only two tour guides who actually mentioned these people in their tour proposals. Ederson clearly did his research and addressed my requests in his proposal. He followed through, he was prompt and organized. We had some wonderful conversation throughout the day about art and about culture as related to my family. We had a great day!!My husband was equally impressed with Ederson's proposal and with his tour.  We wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with Ederson next time we visit Rio! 

We booked Ederson for the second time while visiting Rio. He picked us up at the hotel and took us to places we wanted to go. He knows his city very good and he knows the way to the best spots in Rio. He is punctual, reliable and good person. He is easy to contact and fun to be around. This was our first time visiting Rio and we only had a short timeline to see lot of great things! We were a bit worried, even our Brasilian work colleagues weren't sure we should go on a tour by ourselves, but Ederson communicated with us throughout the booking process and let us know exactly what to expect when we arrived. He assured us of the safety and we trusted his review. Sure enough, he picked us up from the airport and whisked us into the city. The weather was changing and he was spot on in suggesting doing our site-seeing a bit backwards in order to try and take advantage of clear conditions at Sugarloaf. We got up there just before the clouds came in! As he drove us around the various sites, he not only gave us a lot of great historical and cultural information; but we also noticed he knew everyone! Rio is his town and he is proud of it, taking people on tours is a way he gets to connect and share this love and show people Rio has so much more going on than what you read in the news! After a great lunch at a spot suggested by Ederson, we crossed our fingers and hoped the clouds, which had lingered all day over Christ the Redeemer, would part. We kept thinking positively all day and Ederson said anything could happen...and guess what...it did! Upon our arrival to the top we were greated with the most spectacular of late afternoon sunshine. He took us back to the airport with plenty of time for our late flight and we left with some amazing memories and great pictures that Ederson took of us!

It was my 1st time in Brasil and I was a bit curious. Ederson showed me everything and more. He is a great person and tour guide.  Speaks English well enough to communicate and he provided me sunglasses so I can check out the ladies without them even knowing. Cool!!!

Everson was able to squeeze us in for 330-9pm very last minute. He picked us up in our hotel and because there were only 2 of us, he ended up using his car. Very cool! As he was driving, he was explaining to us different parts of the city buildings and its history, the people, the go to spots and where to be more cautious if we were gallivanting alone. The weather was really bad and he was honest and said we might not able to get a clear view of the Christ because of the clouds. We ended up going anyways and got a chance to see it as the clouds cleared up at times. It was dark by the time we finished the Christ the Redeemer. However we still got to tour Mirante Dona Marta, Santa Teresa, Selaron Steps and Sugar Loaf!!! In a short period of time, we saw the attraction spots and also the best night view on top of the mountain. Ederson was a friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide. You can tell he's passionate about what he does and his job is the epitome of his love for his country. Ederson always made sure we were okay with everything. He also made sure we got good pictures! Without a doubt will contact him if I ever go back to Rio!!
