Moomen took my partner and I for a 2 day trip from Erbil to Mosul to Alqosh. His communication is so good, we were in contact with him months before the trip, and he would reply to us straight away. He picked us up from our hotel in Erbil and dropped us back to our hotel after the trip. He really knows Mosul, it’s his home town, he had so much information about the history there. He is the best guide, such a genuine, patient, friendly, and cool guy to be around. He’s got a nice comfortable car, and genuinely looks after you and makes sure you’re having a good time. We wish we used him for longer.

I spent a few days with Moomen in Mosul in September and had a wonderful time! He and his family hosted me in their beautiful home and were incredibly welcoming. Moomen took me to a number of places in and around Mosul and was knowledgeable as a tour guide. He also knew the best places to eat and hang out in the city. We had long and interesting talks about culture, our very different lifestyles etc.. he is an open minded guy who is reflective and thoughtful. Moomen took us on a deep dive into Mosul’s must-see spots, like the Al-Nuri Mosque with its famous leaning minaret and the Great Mosque of Nabi Yunus (Prophet Jonah), which holds a lot of religious importance. The guide shared some interesting facts about the history of these places and even told us about how the city is rebuilding after the war. It was really informative and made the whole experience even more meaningful.
