Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra City Sightseeing
- Meet your tour guide at your accommodation in Delhi at around 2:30 am.
- Drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway.
- Arrive in Agra at 6:00 am and begin your sightseeing tour.
- Visit the iconic Taj Mahal, built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
- Have breakfast at a local restaurant.
- Travel to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the main residence of the Mughal Dynasty, built by Akbar the Great in 1565 A.D.
- You can choose to visit Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the Baby Taj Mahal, which is said to have inspired the creation of the actual Taj Mahal. It holds a special place in both history and architecture because it is the very first tomb in India made entirely out of marble. This mausoleum overlooks the River Yamuna and is the tomb of Mir Ghiyas Beg, a minister in the court of Shah Jahan.
- Walk through the local markets of Agra, go shopping, and taste street food. Agra is famous for handicraft items such as marble inlay work, jewellery, semi-precious stonework, handmade carpets, and leather items.
- Drive back to Delhi after the tour is over.
