Tel Aviv, Sarona, Neve Tzedek and Old Jaffa
- An accredited guide will meet you in your hotel lobby, and you will set out by private car for an საინტერესო tour. During this private excursion, you will see almost all of the main sights of Tel Aviv and Jaffa. Along the way, your guide will share a concise history of the city.
- Your 6-hour private Tel Aviv and Jaffa tour begins with a walk through the Sarona area, where American colonists came to Israel in the late 1800s. Although most of these settlers returned to the USA within a few years, their beautiful homes were soon reoccupied by German settlers. Today, this gorgeous neighbourhood has been carefully restored and renovated.
- You will then stroll down famous Rothschild Boulevard, where you will discover Tel Aviv's White City, one of the largest collections of Bauhaus architecture in the world. Today, the White City is a World Cultural Heritage Site, and visitors come from around the globe to see this impressive collection, developed by German Jewish architects who fled to Tel Aviv following the rise of the Nazis in the 1930s.
- Your next stop is the Neve Tzedek neighbourhood, known for its avant-garde stores, jazz bars, and farmers' markets. Your private guide will show you parts of the neighbourhood that have not yet been gentrified, and will also introduce you to street art in the Florentin area, bustling markets, and major landmarks.
- Afterwards, you will begin exploring Old Jaffa with your guide. Take in the iconic views along the Mediterranean coast and visit the Old Jaffa Port. See the artisans and art galleries of the Old City, and explore the popular Flea Market. Hear about the history of Jaffa, from the Bible, when Jonah set off from here in the story of the whale, right up to the present day, when it is a vibrant neighbourhood with a rich cultural and ethnic tapestry.
- Near the Old Jaffa Port, your excursion will come to an end, and the tour will return to the meeting point.
