Pick you up from your hotel and drive you directly to Table Mountain Lower Cableway station. Soar to the top of Table Mountain (which was recently declared a “New7 Wonder of Nature”) by an aerial cableway. The cableway, with its rotating floor, will give you stunning views of Cape Town.
Explore the top of the mountain with its many walkways and trails. Experience the most spectacular views of the Robben Island, the city, its beaches and the surrounding vistas. As part of the greater Table Mountain National Park, the surrounding environment is renowned for its rich biodiversity and plentiful fauna.
Return to the V&A Waterfront for lunch (not included in the fee) before we board the ferry at the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island. This island, also a World Heritage site, is a place of immense historical significance which was once used as a maximum-security prison for those regarded as political troublemakers or social outcasts. The most famous prisoner was Nelson Mandela.
Experience a fascinating tour led by an ex-prisoner which includes a visit to the maximum-security prison and a bus tour of the island.
