Pick up at the hotel in Mandalay and drive to Amarapura.
Explore the Maha Gandaryon Monastery, the Buddhist University, silk and cotton weaving centres and the 1.2 km long teak U Bein Bridge.
Continue with an afternoon visit to Sagaing over the Ava Bridge across the Ayeyarwady River.
See the Sagaing Kaungmudaw, an enormous dome-shaped pagoda and Sagaing Hills for views of monasteries with monks and nuns. Witness all monks with shaven heads and robes devoted to Buddhism.
