Saigon Evening Food Tour In Tuk Tuk
- Begin the tour around 6 pm with a short walk from your hotel to Tortoise Lake, where you will try “Vietnamese pizza”. This is not traditional food but a special grilled rice paper with eggs, butter, cheese and jambon made by the young generation. Your Ho Chi Minh guide will share with you the story about Tortoise lake and its connection with Nguyen Van Thieu, President in the 1975s.
- At 6:30 pm, you will be collected by a tuk-tuk for seafood dinner with plenty of choices of snails, shrimps, crabs, etc., with your Saigon tour guide. Your tuk-tuk will take you through the city from district 1 to district 3, where you stop by an authentic local bistro of snails & seafood. There, you will be served the most popular street foods of Saigonese and enjoy a bottle of local beer the way that the locals do. You might also be challenged to eat some local food that you have never thought of for a good fun time.
- After finishing your dish at 7:45 pm, take a walk through the old condominium, where you can see locals selling their home-cooked food.
- Then, get into the tuk-tuk for the next stop at a night flower market, where you will see tons of flowers from different regions of Vietnam. Here you will have a chance to have your third dish with Vietnamese pancakes. The taste of crunchy pancakes served with rice paper and vegetables in the bustling market environment will fill up your stomach in a delicious way.
- Travel to the other side of the market for the last but certainly not the least interesting stop of sweet dessert. The last stop will blow your mind with hundreds of deserts, from pumpkin flans, coconut puddings, ice-creams and much more. You will be free to choose anything you may want to try. If you are curious about the taste and smell of durian, this is also a perfect chance for you to try it. It is worth the effort.
- Around 9 pm, your tuk-tuk is ready to “take you home” safe and sound, where the tour ends.
