Itinerary

1. Day 1: Exploring My Tho and Vinh Long (L, D)

   Morning pick-up at the hotel in HCMC and drive ahead to My Tho in the upper Mekong Delta region.

   • Get on a small boat and start sailing around beautiful islets of the Mekong waterway.
   • Disembark to visit Mekong traditional houses at Quoi An village, all made from coconut trees.
   • See the coconut collection set and how the locals make handicrafts from coconut trunks and shells.
   • Visit a coconut candy workshop and taste candy.
   • Take the horse cart on the village path, stop at Ben Truc orchard, taste honey with tea or wine, enjoy seasonal fruits, and listen to traditional music.
   • An adventurous sampan ride in palm shading creeks will be the next experience of the riverside region.
   • Lunch will be served with the Mekong Delta speciality. After lunch, continue the drive to Vinh Long and check in at a homestay on an island.

   In the afternoon:

   • Hop on a bike and ride along the village.
   • Bike on village paths to see the local farms, houses, real life, and ancestral ways to pick up fruits in the Mekong Delta region.

   In the evening:

   • Cook some dishes with the host.
   • Enjoy dinner and drink tea or rice wine while talking together.
   • You can ask the locals about this island's culture, people, and history. They are willing to answer some personal questions.

   Overnight at homestay in a private room.

2. Day 2: Discovering Cai Be Floating Market and Return to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

   • Transfer to a local boat to visit the colorful Cai Be floating market.
   • Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see how rice paste, coconut candy, pop-rice, and pop-corn are made.
   • Our boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy peaceful time before heading to Vinh Long town.
   • Visit the local market in Vinh Long.
   • Have lunch at a local restaurant. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.
